Official: Musona Joins New Club

Knowledge Musona will not return to Kaizer Chiefs after his new club was confirmed by RSC Anderlecht.

The 31-year-old had been linked with a return to Amakhosi, although his agent Mike Makaab told iDiski Times in this week’s edition that a move to South Africa would be financially difficult.

On Monday evening, his club Anderlecht announced that Musona has joined Al-Tai FC in Saudi Arabia.

“Knowledge Musona will play for Al-Tai FC next season,” the Belgian side stated on their official website.

“Musona (31) came over from Ostend in 2019. The last year and a half he was loaned to KAS Eupen, where he played 33 games and scored 9 times.

“Now he moves to Al-Tai FC, which just got promoted to the MBS League in Saudi Arabia.

“Sporting wishes Knowledge all the best for the rest of his career.

“Good luck, Knowledge.”

Makaab had told iDiski Times that there have been no negotiations with any clubs in South Africa, but he didn’t want to rule out a reunion with the Glamour Boys in future.

You can read the full exclusive interview with Makaab, who also chats about Sipho Mbule’s links to Chiefs, Rivaldo Coetzee’s future and why it was always difficult for Musona to return to South Africa, in this week’s edition of iDiski Times – available in Zulu and English.
