Former Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has come under massive pressure at AIK after a sharp decline in form.

Riveiro was appointed as the head coach of AIK at the beginning of the year, just before the Allsvenskan kicked off. The season started well for AIK, as they won two of the first three games and drew one.

His first official defeat came when away from home against Degerfors IF in April, going down 2-1.

Since then, they have won just one game – a 2-1 last week against Hammarby, but suffered defeats to Malmo (0-1), Djurgarden (2-4) and Sirius (0-3) on Saturday, while also playing two draws against Elfsborg (1-1) and Vasteras (1-1).

After 10 games, the Swedish giants only find themselves in 11th spot, with 12 points – 16 behind leaders Sirius with 28.

The Spaniard is already under pressure as AIK are just five points above the relegation zone.

This is Riveiro’s second club after his exit from Pirates, after he only lasted seven games at Egyptian giants Al Ahly and was fired after just three months.
