Al Ahli coach Marino Pusic believes Mamelodi Sundowns’ rise in world football has been evident for people to see saying it’s easy to notice the involuntary moments as the squad has been together for a long time.
Pusic was speaking ahead of the sides’ FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup final on Saturday at Loftus Stadium. A win for either side means bragging rights and also an opportunity to progress to the Challenger Cup where they will meet the winners of the FIFA Derby of the Americas.

The Saudi side’s mentor further noted Sundowns’ style of play saying it’s attractive which will make things interesting on game day.
“Well, I think it’s a team who is playing already for a long period together,” said Pusic.
“You can see that in everything, in their automatisms during the game. Not playing together by the club, but also by the national team as well. And also, a team with the playmaking style as well, which makes them also very good and attractive to watch.
“That’s interesting part to see tomorrow [today] who is going to be better in that part as well. And yeah, interesting opponent, a good opponent, but like I said, we are also very good opponents. So, it’s going to be an interesting game I think.”
Pressed on the opposing players that he thinks could pose a threat to his side, Pusic played his cards close to his chest by saying all the African champions players are good.
“I know them all,” added the 51 year old.
“I know them all and like I said, they all in their positions they’re all very good players.”
