Khanye Heaps Praise On Chiefs Duo

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye has lauded Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Bernard Parker for their hard work during the match against Sekhukhune United.

Amakhosi returned to the winning ways after their 2-0 win over Babina Noko at FNB Stadium on Sunday, thanks to strikes from Ngcobo and Phathutshedzo Nange.

The two players were the driving force in the match, with Ngcobo scoring the first goals before assisting the second as well.

Khanye says Parker had shown leadership, while the young tricky midfielder took responsibility to give Amakhosi the maximum points.

“Compliment to what I have seen, it’s a blessing in disguise to see the likes of Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, he thinks when he plays football,” Khanye said on iDiskiTV .

“The boy I expected to see him in another level this season after what he has done last season, maybe competing for Player of the Season, you saw his goal, it might compete for the Goal of the Season.

“When I say a blessing in disguise, I mean they were starting the ball at the back, (Bernard) Parker today was a superstar, he could collect and link to (Njabulo) Blom who collected the ball from the back as he was playing defensive midfield.

“Compliment to Arthur (Zwane), for players to have an understanding today because if you can check, Ngcobo when he plays while Baxter is in-charge, the body language and everything do not show.

“When the ball comes from Daniel (Cardoso) to Parker, and Blom, Parker looked like a superstar, he could find (Happy) Mashiane or Ngcobo as he was a playmaker and the boy was excellent not because it took time for him to play.

“He (Ngcobo) could find the ball behind, he could either delay and look for his players as they were not using speed today, I love his brain, he could play and shoot today.”
