The Azanian People’s Organisation (AZAPO) have sent a letter to FIFA protesting the unfair treatment of Africans by the world body, after Pitso Mosimane was excluded in The Best FIFA men’s coach of the year nominations.
AZAPO released the letter, written by their Secretary for Sports and Recreation, Sunshine Mbele, to the media this weekend.
In the letter addressed to FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Secretary General Fatma Samoura, AZAPO questioned the criteria at the world body and called for the return of the anti-racism task-force that was disbanded in 2016.
