The Cosafa Cup semi-finals have been confirmed with Bafana Bafana avoiding African’s giants Senegal after knocking out defending champions Zambia on Wednesday.
Bafana will take on Mozambique in Friday’s first semi-final after the latter beat Namibia 1-0 on Wednesday, a result that sees them finish second in their group based on the head-to-head rule.
Senegal, the West African guests at the tournament, won Group B after they beat Malawi 2-1, and will play eSwatini who finished second in Group A.
Bafana held defending champions Zambia to a goalless draw, meaning the end of the tournament for Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s side and finished the group stage unbeaten and without conceding a single goal.
