Bayhill Draw Conducted In Cape Town

The draw for the 2024 Bayhill Premier Cup took place on Saturday, with the U19 teams from the five DStv Premiership clubs avoiding each other in the group stages.

The Easter weekend tournament, South Africa’s biggest U19 tournament, kicks off on the 26th of April at Erica Park in Belhar, Cape Town, and will finish on the 1st of April, with the final day being played at Athlone Stadium.

On Saturday the 32 teams found out who they will be facing in the group stages at the draw that took place at the Mayoral Banquet Hall in the Cape Town CBD.

It is a draw that for the most part saw the clubs from the Premier Soccer League avoid each other for the most part, although Mamelodi Sundowns will face Hungry Lions in Group G.

Cape Town City were drawn in Group B, Chippa United in Group C, Stellenbosch in Group D, AmaTuks in Group E, while Cape Town Spurs were drawn in Group F.

Namibia’s Windhoek Gymnasium, the only international team were drawn in Group H, alongside defending champions Grassy Park United.
