Chiefs Ban Over, 7 Signings To Be Announced?
Kaizer Chiefs two-transfer window ban has officially come to an end and the Glamour Boys are expected to announce around seven new signings in the coming days.
Amakhosi have been working hard behind the scenes to improve the squad after being unable to register new players last season.
This publication understands that several new players have already put pen to paper, as iDiski Times have reported in edition 23, with most of the deals already struck before Stuart Baxter returned.
The likes of Brandon Peterson, Sifiso Hlanti, Phathutshedzo Nange, Kgaogelo Sekgota and Sibusiso Mabiliso will join as free agents.
The latter moves to Naturena from AmaZulu after his contract expired, while the other four already wanted to join last year when they could not be registered.
Meanwhile, Ruzaigh Gamildien and Njabulo Ngcobo have been linked as possible purchases.
In addition, Sao Tome and Principe left-back Jardel Nazare had trained with Amakhosi in May but there has been no update on his situation since.
Chiefs are expected to announce their new players in the coming days, but none of them will be able to play in the upcoming CAF Champions League final.
Only players registered in Chiefs’ initial squad for the 2020/21 CAF Champions League campaign can feature in the final, meaning several expiring deals might be extended by Amakhosi in order to have stars such as Bernard Parker, Willard Katsande and Itumeleng Khune available.
You can read about all players in questions and what options Chiefs have in this week’s edition of iDiski Times, available in Zulu and English.
