Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates stars Daniel Akpeyi and Olisa Ndah have been named in the 28-man Nigeria squad heading to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Ndah is one of the surprise inclusions in the star-studded Super Eagles team, as one of only three players based in Africa selected by interim coach Augustine Eguavoen.
Having replaced German Gernot Rohr just a month before the continental showpiece, Eguavoen has opted for continuity with the bulk of his regulars making the list.
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen who is still recovering from a fractured cheekbone has also been call-up with hopes that he will recover in time to participate for the side that finished third at the 2019 AFCON.
The Super Eagles will square up against Egypt on January 11, after which they will face Sudan and debutants Guinea Bissau.
