Orlando Pirates assistant coach, Fadlu Davids, has revealed how they will approach their MTN8 semi-final second-leg against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Sea Robbers secured an emphatic 3-0 victory over the Glamour Boys in the first-leg, which leaves them in a comfortable position going into their away match.
However, Davids has pointed towards the UEFA Champions League in Europe, stating that a 3-0 lead can be overturned if you approach it incorrectly.
“We approach the match like a normal match. We will make a mistake if we approach this game like a 3-0 match,” Davids said in the pre-match press conference.
“Champions League, where a team is leading by three goals and the other team makes a comeback. We will approach the game trying to score goals.”
Davids also provided an update on their injuries going into the game, adding: “Gabadinho Mhango ruled out. We are still awaiting Tyson (Hlatshwayo), (Thembinkosi) Lorch and (Terrence) Dzvukamanaja, and we will have to make a decision whether to do a late fitness test or not.”
