Orlando Pirates Assistant Coach Fadlu Davids says they are ready for a big test against ES Setif in the CAF Confederation Cup this evening.
The two teams meet at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana, a neutral venue chosen by Setif, due to the Algerian government’s Covid-19 restrictions.
Davids says they’re expecting a tough encounter against a very good Setif side.
“The travelling, of course, has gone well, a long trip, but we ready, getting used to the conditions here, the heat, the humidity here in Ghana,” Davids told PiratesTV.
“But we are ready for our big test, and the big test is Setif, a really good team, really well structured, top of the log in Algeria, and we’ve analyzed them in detail and know exactly what to expect.”
“Ja, t’s a neutral venue but on the other hand they’ve played Asante Kotoko before so they’re quite familiar with the conditions, probably the reason why they chose it.”
“We have to go for the points, three points at stake and that’s what we’re going for.”
Kick off is at 9pm South African time.
