Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine De Reuck has praised four of his teammates for their work for the reigning DStv Premiership champions.
Masandawana collected a goalless draw against Al-Merrikh in the CAF Champions League on Saturday.
De Reuck has been a main pillar for his club’s defensive stability, but he has now also praised his club’s attacking players for playing their part.
“Defending starts from the front. So I think a lot of credit has to go to guys like Peter [Shalulile], [Themba] Zwane, [Thabiso] Kutumela and Gaston [Sirino] to mention a few,” he told the club’s media department.
“They’ve worked really hard for the team and they are a big reason the team is keeping so many clean sheets.
“It’s also very important that we have a good understanding in the back line because there’s no room for error , we must almost have the perfect game all the time.”
Downs, who are currently leading their group with four points from two games, will next face Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League on 26 February.
