TS Galaxy Captain Given Msimango has rallied his troops ahead of their clash with Kazier Chiefs in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday.
Galaxy face a wounded animal in Chiefs, who suffered a heavy Soweto Derby defeat at the weekend, and Msimango has warned his team not to see it as a weakness.
“Mood at the camp is very positive going into the match against Chiefs. Kaizer Chiefs lost their cup match against Pirates on the weekend, which makes them a very dangerous opponent for our game,” he told the media.
“We are very much aware of their danger and I think we have prepared accordingly. Our planning will come into play and we hope to utilise our chances in the match.”
Galaxy famously overcame the Glamour Boys in a cup final two seasons ago, and although Msimango acknowledges the achievement, he says it will not matter in the match today.
“The team has succeeded in the past against Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final, but that’s in the past now. It’s a good thing that we have won against them in the past but it won’t matter on the day,” he added.
