Marumo Gallants boss, Dr. Abram Sello says the club is still under the process of paying all the outstanding debts caused by Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
The Sekhukhune-born businessman and pharmacist bought TTM early in 2021 and renamed it Marumo Gallants ahead of the 2021/2022 season – but had to face financial challenges.
Sello, says they are still far away from being debt-free, as they are receiving calls from players claiming their salaries, which they are not even aware if it’s true or not.
However, the businessman who took over several issues from the previous owner, Lawrence Mulaudzi, says he is now trying to get everything under control and settle all the debts.
“We are far from being debt-free and taking it day-by-day,” Sello told SunSport.
“We are getting emails from players claiming they did not get their settlement of 2016/2017, even today. We are clearing those contracts that we are not sure if we are liable for.
“I’m not debt-free, but have to show leadership, character and to handle the situation.
“We do have internal problems like any other club, and we solve them internally. But we pay our players their salaries monthly on time, we negotiate bonuses.”
