Junior Applauds Chiefs Star After Thumping Win

iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye has heaped praise on Kaizer Chiefs striker Flavio Silva for what he called an individual brilliance themed-goal in the side’s 4-1 demolition of Magesi FC.

The result meant Chiefs stayed in position three on the log with 45 points from 23 matches while the Limpopo side remained at the bottom with 17 points in 24 outings.

Silva broke the deadlock between the sides at the Peter Mokaba Stadium after 30 minutes with his seventh league goal of the season, a goal that opened the floodgates for Amakhosi on a rainy night.

It was also the 30-year-old’s second goal in as many successive games after netting in the 2-0 against TS Galaxy over the weekend.

Khanye says felt the game was scrappy in the beginning and it was Silva’s individual brilliance that changed things.

The former Chiefs man added though he still wants to see more from the forward, he applauds him for what he did in midweek.

“Well done to Chiefs, and I mean when you get an opponent like this, just kill them,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.

“But let’s be honest it was a scrappy game the first 10, 20 minutes of the first half. I think it took individual brilliance from Silva. Good first touch, awareness, good technique and the posts don’t move good finish from him.

“He hit the ball without even looking at the posts, he was looking to another side. Well done to him and good goal from him. I think it was a wonderful goal.

“Honestly, I didn’t expect that from him and he still has to prove himself for me. There are things I still want to see from him, but this one today [Wednesday] is a compliment well done to him.”
