Lethlaku On U20 Camp And Motivating Fans In Bloem

Mamelodi Sundowns winger Kutlwano Lethlaku has opened up on the recent U20 national team camp and expressed his excitement over playing in front of the passionate supporters in Bloemfontein.

The 19-year-old was part of the Amajita squad that won the recent U20 Africa Cup of Nations and are just weeks away from the FIFA World Cup in Chile, in which he and several of his teammates were part of a camp during the international break.

“The U20 camp was nice because we were preparing [for the U20 FIFA World Cup], also the players who were there have been there for a long time, so we know our strengths and weaknesses,” he said.

Head coach Raymond Mdaka is set to announce the final squad this Wednesday at SABC Studios but in the interim, several first team players returned to their domestic league teams for the upcoming league games, including the Masandawana talent.

“We expect a very good team, a compact team, a team that carries the ball well,” he said about the upcoming game at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.

“It’s going to be a difficult game, we’ll need our supporters there to give us the push… it will be motivating to have that [Bloemfontein] crowd, it will make us play our football and be happy on the field.”
