Limpopo MEC Wishes Tshakhuma Luck
Ahead of today’s Nedbank Cup final against Chippa United, Limpopo MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture Thandi Moraka has wished Tshakhuma luck ahead of their maiden appearance in a cup final.
TTM will attempt to be the second Limpopo side to win a domestic trophy in four years when they face Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup final tomorrow evening in Bloemfontein.
Moraka was speaking at a provincial event to honour provincial softball and netball teams in Polokwane yesterday.
The MEC said she met with the club management and was assured that the club will win the final.
The MEC also wished Vhadau Vha Damani well adding that she wants TTM to emulate Baroka’s Telkom Cup heroics in 2018.
“I have met with the executive management of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, they came and met me in the office and the assurance that they gave me was that the Nedbank Cup is coming to Limpopo and that’s what I’m hoping for,” Moraka told the media.
“And I want to take this opportunity and wish them the best of luck as they will be going to the finals and we are hoping they will bring the cup back to the province when they will be joining Baroka.”
“You know Baroka brought the Telkom Knockout cup in the province and we are hoping that indeed TTM is going to make us proud and bring the Nedbank Cup to Limpopo.”
TTM qualified for the finals by eliminating defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns in a shootout while Chippa defeated GladAfrica side Pretoria Callies in the other semi-final.
The final is scheduled to kickoff at 18:00.
