Motsepe Among Africa’s 10 Richest Billionaires

Former Mamelodi Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe has been listed among Africa’s 10 richest billionaires, while four other South Africans made the list.

The former Downs boss, who was elected CAF president on 12 March, sits in ninth position on Forbes Rich List of Africa’s billionaires.

Motsepe’s worth is estimated to be $3 billion, which sees him in ninth position on the ranking.

Meanwhile, Nigeria Tycoon Aliko Dangote is leading the list with a fortune of $12.1 billion. The 63-year-old has previously made headlines after stating that he wants to take over Premier League side Arsenal.

Nicky Oppenheimer ($8 billion), Johan Rupert ($7.2 billion), Koos Bekker ($2.8 billion) and Michiel Le Roux ($1.2 billion) are the other South African billionaires on the list, which includes 18 billionaires overall.
