Golden Arrows Head Coach Mandla Ncikazi says his opponents in today’s DStv Premiership match, Orlando Pirates, are a tough team, and he won’t read too much into their defeat on the weekend.
Arrows are one of the only three unbeaten teams left in the league, and while Pirates will go into this game on the back of a loss to Black Leopards, Arrows go into after a win against TTM.
“Tough match, tough opponents‚ Pirates are a good team‚ good playing team. Maybe let’s not read anything from the previous result, just remember the positives,” Ncikazi said ahead of today’s game.
“The only threat with them is that they can change the formation many-a-times in one match and also the personnel. So one, I’m not sure what will happen after they loss, whether they’ll change personnel‚ whether they change the formation, but with Pirates just expect a tough match irrespective of what happens with them.”
“But mainly‚ I focus more on our team. We’re prepared to defend well and if we defend well and use the ball well, come out cleanly in attack‚ we’re going to get a positive result. I’m confident based on what I’ve seen thus far in our team.”
