Polokwane City have continued to raid Pretoria Callies by signing two more players from the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The newly promoted DStv Premiership side have signed attacker Nyakala Raphadu and midfielder Sinoxolo Kwayiba while also hold interest in Tlou Nkwe – but they are facing competition from Chippa United for the latter.
Polokwane have already signed Oswin Appollis from Callies, who is the product of SuperSport United as they prepare for their top-flight return for the first time since being relegated in 2020.
Callies chairman, Moses Madala, has told this publication that they will announce the new signings in the coming days to replace those who have left.
Meanwhile, experienced administrator Peter Koutroulis has also left Callies to join Magesi in Limpopo ahead of this coming season.
Koutroulis, who worked at Thanda Royal, Mamelodi Sundowns, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Chippa United, has a wealth of over 30 years of experience in the PSL.
“Everyone had forgotten about Koutroulies and look at him now, he is joining Magesi. At Callies, we are here to change lives,” said Madala.
The chairman also confirmed that coach Kwanele Kopo is still their coach and did not leave the club, despite it being widely reported that he left.
Kopo did come close to joining Chippa United but they failed to agree terms, something that Madala had no issue with.
