Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro says their 2-1 comeback win over Cape Town City shows the mentality of his players in the title race this season.
Having lost to City in the reverse fixture in the Mother City, it appeared the Citizens would be walking away from Orlando with a league double.

But a second half fightback with Tshegofatso Mabasa and substitute Goodman Mosele, in his first game of the season after a long-term injury, netted the late winner.
Rivieiro stated boldly that every player in the squad is good enough to play, to contribute and have the mentality to fight for multiple honours, as they remain in contention for the league, Nedbank Cup and CAF Champions League.
“I think it’s clearly the key, for us during the season, during the whole season, what we’re achieving in terms of results, performances, the quality of these players are not in question,” Riveiro said.
“Everybody knows they are good enough to play at this club, to challenge for every title, to perform in the way they are doing. The key is to do it every day – even in your bad days, not bad day… it’s more my limitations in English [when I say this].
“Today was not a bad game from our side, but it was one of those games that is not looking nice, you’re not going to win the game playing beautiful but still you have to look for the result.
“We’re fortunate to have a striker like Evidence on the bench also to come in with Tshego to keep Gordinho and Fasika busier in the last 15 minutes, giving more space for some other options in the box, arrivals and everyone was really committed.

“We’re having a tough season in terms of games, travelling, training that we’re learning a lot from – I said to the guys now all the things happening to us this season are helping to develop decent level of resilience.
“You can see what ever happens, this team never gives up, today they did an extra effort for the result. It wasn’t fashionable but effective and giving our fans the proper answer to their demands during the game.”
Pirates mid-week game against Royal AM is postponed and will take on Marumo Gallants next week in Bloemfontein.
