Roberts Ready To Help Relegation-Threatened Galaxy

Shane Roberts, who joined TS Galaxy on a six-month agreement ahead of the second round of the season, says he is looking forward to helping the club to avoid the relegation zone.

Roberts struggled to crack a spot into the starting XI at his former after being promoted to the Citizen’s first-team, until he moved to the Rockets.

The 23-year-old has admitted that he will face a challenge and has to work hard at his new home, but is confident he will have a healthy competition with teammates.

“I think it’s a good experience if there’s different type of players in the same position where you can fight for your position,” he told club’s media department.

“That makes the competition also very tough because at the end of the day, it’s not you can’t just grab a spot so easy, you have to work on for your position.

“So I will work in my position that makes the other my teammates better which goes for myself as well.

“I went through a tough time at Cape City, and it was at the time I was injured and then came back from an injury, so for me, it was tough to get time for the game.

“So that’s why I just thought maybe I should go forward I need a new chapter in my life and that’s all, my personal goals obviously are to get more game time to get to score goals, and to assist more.”

Roberts believes the team will survive the relegation axe as he sees commitment within the players.

“I think we stand a big turn to survivor relegation, hopefully we will survive,” said the confident Robert.

“As you can see, we are in position 16 And I think we will survive, like I said with the energy, the positive thinking where we are in the club, I think going forward, we will grind to work, God will unite, and we will get out of there.

“Like even me, I can feel positive energy, so by the energy, our things are about to get together.”
