Golden Arrows Head Coach Lehlohonolo Seema has appreciated the efforts shown by his players in their win against Marumo Gallants on Sunday.
The in-form Arrows beat Bahlabane Ba Ntwa 3-1 on Sunday after Nkosinathi Sibisi, Knox Mutizwa and off the bench Sibusiso Khumalo scored.
Abafana Bes’thende are now in the fifth position in the DStv Premiership table, with nine points after they played six games.
“First of all I want to say thanks to all mighty God for making it possible for us. But before I can even start, I want to say credit to all players, I think today they tried and worked hard as a team,” Seema said after the match.
“Everybody was willing, I think they left everything in the field of play, and we managed to win the game, what is more important is we took a lead, and we managed to defend our lead up until the last minute.
“That shows that at least things that I think that we are thinking that we cannot do, we can see actually we can do, we can defend, if we have a lead we can defend up until the game is finished and the chances, the goals hasn’t been a problem.
“Yeah, we knew that we will score but the problem that is killing it was just that we are not defending well, but I’m happy today we managed to defend up until the end. And we came against difficult Marumo year, it was a difficult match,”
