Seema – One Game To Go, We’ll Keep On Fighting
After a goalless draw against Tshakhuma, Chippa United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema says they will keep on fighting to get out of the promotion-relegation playoff spot.
Chippa are currently 15th in the Dstv Premiership, two points behind Stellenbosch, and three behind Maritzburg United.
It was Seema’s first game in charge since returning to the club to take over from Vladislav Heric.
Seema says TTM were playing for a draw, and the point that will keep them safe in the Premiership, and it was difficult especially after Nyiko Mobbie was sent off.
But the former Bloemfontein Celtic and Black Leopards coach says they won’t give up and have everything to fight for in their last game on Saturday at home against SuperSport United.
“No, it was a difficult game, you could see we were playing against a team that is looking for a draw,” Seema said after the match.
“And we tried, we pushed, we had some chances and unfortunately we had a red card.
“And we had to now change a lot of structure. But credit must go to the boys, they fought until the last minute, I think we missed it, the last chance that we could have scored, and you could see they were looking for a draw, they got a corner, they get it, they play back to their keeper.
“So ja, it was difficult for us, but I’m happy with the performance from the guys, there’s one game to go, we’ll keep on fighting.”
