Shandu Exits Maritzburg, Pirates Looming
Maritzburg United confirmed the exit of one of their midfielder on Saturday, amid reports that the player is heading to Orlando Pirates.
After almost a decade at the club, Bandile Shandu, who broke into the Team of Choice as a teenager, has left Maritzburg, the club confirmed on social media.
The 26-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Pirates this season, and with his exit confirmed, those rumours are heating up.
Pirates have been very quiet over the past few weeks, though have confirmed the arrival of former Golden Arrows head coach Mandla Ncikazi who has joined the technical team.
Shandu, a former Maritzburg College pupil, made his debut as a teenager for Maritzburg back in the 2012/2013 season and has made almost 150 appearances for the club since.
He could re-unite with former teammates like Fortune Makaringe and Siphesihle Ndlovu at Pirates,
