After six game weeks Durban Ladies are the only side yet to register a point in the Hollywoodbets Super League as they suffered their sixth loss of the season a 3-1 defeat to University of Johannesburg (UJ).
This is UJ’s second victory of the term and they are eighth on the table with eight points. Meanwhile the KwaZulu Natal-based side remains at the bottom of the log with no point having conceded 19 goals in the process. They have the leakiest defense so far this term while log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns have scored the most goals with 18 and have conceded just twice.
Sundowns maintained their winning run to stay at the top with 18 points after defeating Bloemfontein Celtic 2-0 in the Free State.
New comers JVW Girls are keeping close with Sundowns in second position with 15 points after narrowly beating Thunderbirds Ladies 1-0. The Eastern Cape-based outfit are second from bottom with only three points from six outings.
Elsewhere in the capital City Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) handed First Touch Academy their first loss of the campaign scoring three past the Limpopo side without any reply. TUT are placed sixth on the standings equal on 10 points with Celtic just above them, while First Touch are third with 13 points.
In fourth spot is the University of Western Cape who thrashed ninth place Coal City Wizards 4-0 at home.
MaIndies Ladies continued their winning form as they defeated Richmond United 3-0 and rose to seventh position with eight points while Richmond dropped to tenth.
Golden Ladies were 3-0 winners over Tsunami Queens in the Sunday fixture , their second win of the season which sees them in 11th position with six points while Tsunami are behind them with 4 points.
Richmond’s Nthabiseng Majiya leads the top goal scorer chat with 10 goals. JVW’s Nompumelelo Nyamndeni and Celtic’s Kgabelane Mohlakoana are tied on six goals in second and third places, respectively.
