Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler has reacted to the Nedbank Cup draw that will see his team travel to KZN to take on Royal AM in the round of 32.
The draw for the round of 32 took place on Wednesday at lunchtime.
This fixture is one of five that will see all-DStv Premiership clashes.
Tinkler says it’s a tough draw, but if they want to reach the final they have to beat whoever they are drawn against.
Tinkler says they got a win away against the same opponent in the league, and there is no reason why they can’t do it again.
City beat Royal AM 2-1 at the Chatsworth Stadium in August last year.
“We got a tough draw away against Royal AM,” Tinkler told the club’s media department.
“But in order to win the Nedbank obviously you’ve got to be able to beat everybody to get to that final.
“So you know, yeh, a tough team to play against. We’ve played against them obviously away from home in the league and we managed to get a win against them. And nothing says we can’t do that again.
“So that’s obviously going to be our objective and our purpose.”
