Williams – What Dolly Brings To Bafana
Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams has explained what in-form Kaizer Chiefs winger Keagan Dolly adds to the national team.
Dolly was named in the 24-man squad to take on Zimbabwe and Ghana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers this coming Thursday and Sunday respectively.
Williams, who featured in plenty of Bafana matches with Dolly before, says they will count on the winger’s speed and his experience.
“Yeah, I mean, he brings experience, obviously he brings that speed. All of us know that Keagan is very rapid and obviously goals,” he told reporters.
“It’s wonderful having the front three players, all of them can score, so having himself, Percy (Tau), (Evidence) Makgopa, Victor Letsoalo and all of them are doing well, so that’s positive for us as well as Fagrie Lakay.
“So that’s a good thing, so any of them can start because they have been doing very well for their respective clubs, scoring goals all of them.”
Williams also revealed that he had
“So that’s positive for us. So yeah I spoke to Keagan when we played them two weeks ago, and I told him he is looking very sharp, he is looking very good. And I can’t wait to play with him again.
“Because he is one person that I have played with before, and for the counter-attack, I always look at him because he’s so quick. So I’m just glad that he is back into the site.”
