Orlando Pirates Head Coach Josef Zinnbauer has said his team lacked aggression in their 2-0 loss to Black Leopards on Sunday.
It was Pirates’ second defeat in the DStv Premiership this season, and the German coach was disappointed in his team’s effort.
He said the team were nowhere in the first half, and showed no aggression, and that allowed the dangerous Leopards side to take advantage.
He says Leopards came into the game to fight for the three points, and his team need to stamp their authority earlier on in the game.
“Yes, it was difficult, and for me, these guys they run for their lives, they fight for three points, especially against clubs where they have nothing to lose,” Zinnbauer told Pirates’ media after the game.
“And in the first half, we were not on the field, we played a little bit but it was not enough.”
“If you go into a game against a relegation team, you need to be aggressive. You need a signal to the opponent that there is nothing to get today, and this is what we (didn’t do) in the first half.”
