Motsepe Foundation Championship side Leruma United have completed the signing of six players including former Moroka Swallows attacker Felix Obada.
With the window transfer only closing this coming Friday, United are strengthening their squad having endured the worst possible start in the 2024/25 campaign as they currently lie at the base of the log having lost all three matches.
This publication has it on good authority that United have roped in Joseph Mhlongo, Pentjie Zulu, Lifa Hlongwane, Felix Obada, Thabang Mnyembane and Kutlwano Mzimela.
Obada has a lot of experience having played for Thanda Royal Zulu, Maritzburg United, Swallows, and Free State Stars in South Africa. The 34-year-old recently played for Afghanistan side Attack Energy FC before returning to Mzansi where he’s played majority of his career.
Also, the addition of Mhlongo who previously won MFC promotion with Polokwane City, shows a positive sign to United as he is expected to bring his experience to the table. Zulu and Hlongwane have the experience of the league as they played it before with the likes of Black Leopards and Baroka FC.
United wants to turn things around when they face struggling Venda Football Club in their next league encounter this coming weekend. Both sides are yet to win a game since the season started.
