Official: Pirates Announce Another Exit

Orlando Pirates have confirmed they have released Lesedi Kapinga after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract.

Kapinga, 29, joined the Buccaneers ahead of last season after spending three years at Mamelodi Sundowns.

However, he only made 13 appearances under Jose Riveiro, starting just two games without scoring a single goal in 2024/25.

As a consequence, the Buccaneers have now agreed to part ways with the forward.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Lesedi Kapinga for the early release of his contract,” the club stated.

“Both parties have agreed to amicably part ways following a meeting earlier today.

“On behalf of the extended Orlando Pirates family, we would like to thank Lesedi for his time at the Club and we wish him all the best for the future.”
