Table-toppers Casric Stars were the biggest winners in this weekend’s Motsepe Foundation Championship round, as there was a drought of goals in other fixtures with only seven goals scored.

Baroka got their second consecutive win following a narrow 1-0 win over Kruger United, with Tshepo Mashiloane scoring the only goal of the match. Bakgaga now sit on seven points after four matches, while United suffered their second defeat of the season.
High-flying Casric made it three wins in a row at the expense of JDR Stars with two unanswered goals by Malesela Choke and Tlhalefang Kgabane. Casric currently sit atop with nine points, and they’ve kept three clean sheets in a row.
University Of Pretoria shared the spoils with Upington City in a 0-0 draw at Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium.
Saturday afternoon began with Leruma United and Venda Football Club. United registered their first win of the season after beating Venda 1-0. The Limpopo-based side find themselves rooted bottom of the table with one point after four games.
Orbit College were condemned to their second defeat of the season, losing 1-0 to Black Leopards. Lidoda Duvha moved to fifth place with seven points after four matches, while Orbit dropped to 13th place.
Pretoria Callies, who were down to 10 men, stood firm and held Milford FC to a goalless draw.
Last match of the round will take place on Monday between Cape Town Spurs and Hungry Lions. The fixture was rescheduled after the unavailability of Athlone stadium.
