MFC Wrap: JDR Stars Hammer Magesi

JDR Stars ran riot against newly promoted side Magesi FC, as they finally collected their first win of the 2022/23 Motsepe Foundation Championship season.

The first mid-week action of the season started with the most anticipated Limpopo derby between Polokwane City and Venda Football Academy, which ended 1-0 in favour of Rise and Shine, leaving bragging rights and three points to City.

The Tuesday action didn’t end there as newly promoted side Magesi FC got hammered 6-0 by JDR Stars, with Ismail Wadi scoring a hat-trick in the first half.

The Hammerboyz didn’t take the foot off the peddle as on-loan AmaZulu talent Tshepang Moremi completed a brace and Kamohelo Sithole was the last player to put the nail in the coffin.

Meanwhile, Casric Stars welcomed All Stars FC in what has been seen as one of the big clashes with some of the Casric players having played for All Stars during the days of Cape Town All Stars but the two sides could not be separated.

It was draw number two for Sinethemba Badela’s side and they are yet to taste the defeat.
