Magesi FC have dropped points for the first time this season, as Hungry Lions held them to the draw, while Hope FC bounced back.
In the only game on Sunday, league leaders Magesi took the lead against Hungry Lions in the first half through an own goal. Hungry Lions, though, bounced back in the second half to secure a 1-1 draw. Magesi remain top of the league table with 13 points after five matches.
In Cape Town, Hope FC bounced back to winning ways after beating struggling Orbit College through Manelisi Ralasi’s second-half goal.
In Kimberly, AmaTuks walked away with a point after a six-goal thriller draw with Upington City. Bafana Ba Gucci are currently in seventh place with eight points in five games.
Meanwhile, The Bees picked up their first win of the season, as they narrowly beat Lerumo Lions 1-0 at home. The win saw The Bees escape the relegation spots, as they moved to 14th place, leapfrogging ORBIT College and Venda FC.
Things are becoming more difficult for Clinton Larsen at Venda FC after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Real Native. Lelethu Skelem and Lungelo Dondolo scored for Native, who climbed into second spot.
