Magesi took control of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, as they opened up a five point lead at the top of the table.
This after they scored a last-minute winner to beat second-placed AmaTuks on Saturday.
But Tuks remain six points ahead of the third-placed team who are now last season’s playoffs qualifiers Casric Stars, who beat Baroka 3-0.
Baroka drop to fifth, though are on the same amount of points as Casric, and fourth-placed JDR, who moved ahead of Dan Malesela’s team after their goalless draw against Venda Football Club.
Platinum City Rovers dropped back to last after they lost to Milford, and Marumo Gallants surprised Maritzburg United by winning 1-0 in KwaZulu-Natal. Marumo move up to 15th, and both they and City Rovers are still two points off safety.
