Magesi Stay Top Of MFC

Clinton Larsen’s Magesi remain top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship after this week’s round of midweek games.

Magesi won 3-1 at Pretoria Callies to move to 42 points after 22 matches played, one point ahead of AmaTuks, who beat Milford 1-0 to maintain their promotion challenge.

But there was a loss for early pace-setters Orbit College, as they lost 2-1 to Baroka, who moved up to fourth, three points behind Orbit, who remain on 37 points.

In the late game on Wednesday, Maritzburg United beat Upington City to move up to ninth, while Upington have dropped to fifth.
