New Leaders In MFC, Milford Back On Earth

Clinton Larsen’s Magesi FC are the new Motsepe Foundation Championship leaders after the 20th round of fixtures played this past weekend, while Milford FC lost after their Nedbank Cup heroics against Kaizer Chiefs.

Magesi beat fellow Limpopo challengers Baroka on Sunday, to move top of the table, ahead of second-place Orbit College on goal difference. Orbit had beaten Venda Football Club on Saturday to move on top for 24 hours.

AmaTuks, however, who were leaders going into the weekend, could only draw with Platinum City Rovers on Sunday.

There were also good wins for Hungry Lions, who beat Milford 3-1 on Friday, Maritzburg United, Black Leopards, Pretoria Callies and Upington City in a weekend where only the one draw was recorded.
