ODG Gives Leopards Glimpse Of Hope For Survival

Owen da Gama has offered Black Leopards a glimpse of hope to retain their Premier Soccer League status after a vital 2-0 win over TTM.

In the build-up to the fixture, the experienced tactician stated it’s not over until the fat lady sings and to his word, second-half goals from Tsepo Matsimbi and Douglas Mapfumo secured the win in the relegation six-pointer as they moved up to 15th.

It marked seven points in their last four games after previously only winning two in their previous 22 league outings in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

With four games to go, Hungry Lions, Platinum City Rovers, All Stars and Venda Football Academy – they trail Rovers and NB La Masia by six points in their bid to retain their second-tier status.

All eyes will definitely be on Lidoda Duvha in the final stages of the league, despite the incredible three-horse race for promotion between Polokwane City, Cape Town Spurs and Casric FC – with the 40-year-old institution aiming not to be lost to local football.
