JDR Stars moved up to third as they beat Maritzburg United on Friday, while Marumo Gallants and Baroka drew 1-1.
Also on Saturday, there were good wins for Upington City and Black Leopards, over Magesi and Milford respectively.
Casric Stars, who were in the playoffs last season but have had a tough start to 2023/24, picked up a confidence-boosting win on Sunday over AmaTuks, while Hungry Lions moved up to second despite drawing 1-1 against Pretoria Callies.
