Truter Closing In On PSL Return

Former Sekhukhune United head coach Brandon Truter is in talks with Upington City.

iDiski Times were informed earlier this month that a shake-up had taken place with Thulani Nkosi, Cliff Ntsoereng and Ruben Cloete in the head coach, assistant coach and Director of Football roles set for changes.

This after a poor run of form, ending their chances of securing promotion to the DStv Premiership, which had looked likely for large parts of their debut season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Truter has now emerged as the leading candidate to lead the new project and talks started to take place between the former AmaZulu and Sekhukhune United coach and club on Friday afternoon.

It appears likely that an agreement will be reached over the next few days, with Brakkies set to assess the squad in the Northern Cape this weekend when they face Black Leopards.
