Golden Arrows head coach Pitso Dladla says they need to show more aggression and desire to score in the second leg if they are to eliminate Mamelodi Sundowns from the MTN8.
Arrows picked up a stunning 1-0 away win at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium over the reigning champions of Africa.
Junior Dion’s first half goal was enough for his side to hold on for the remainder of the game, showing defensive solidity and structure they showed in the quarter-final against Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium.
“We knew there would be moments where we’d suffer, we had many counter attacks that we could have scored,” he said.
“It was scary, the game forced us back a lot, but we managed to survived. Remember the nature of the tournament, the semis has two legs.
“We have an away goal advantage, but we need to be more aggressive, score first or score, we will get a big chance to win [and go to the final].”
They now take the second leg to the King Zwelithini Stadium next weekend, with a major chance to reach the final of the domestic cup competition.
