Sekhukhune United assistant coach Paulus Masehe says the only pressure on the technical team is the ones they place on themselves after three consecutive defeats to Orlando Pirates.
There’s been recent days of speculation that the pressure is rising on head coach Cedric Kaze and his technical team within the hierarchy of the club.
However, Masehe says they have shown enough hunger, fight and desire to improve, reiterating more than once, that it’s a squad in transition that will grow from strength to strength as the campaign progresses.
“In our line of work, pressure is every day, you know, I cannot say there’s much pressure on the coach or technical team,” Masehe said.
“Yes, we put pressure on ourselves, we want positive results all the time, but being realistic, the past three games, Pirates executed better than us.”
Masehe was speaking after Sekhukhune’s latest set-back against Pirates as they bowed out of the MTN8 at the semi-final stage, acknowledging that the Buccaneers had been more effective when it mattered.
While the results remain a concern, the assistant coach believes there has been a noticeable improvement in the team’s attitude and application.
“When it comes to attitude, application, when it comes to willingness to try, we’re moving into the right direction.”
