The 2024/25 MTN8 quarter-final fixtures were confirmed after the final DStv Premiership games of the season were played on Saturday.
Sundowns had long already wrapped up their seventh successive DStv Premiership title, but failed to finish the season unbeaten.
However, they go as top-seeded side into the MTN8 quarter-finals and will face Polokwane City, who sneaked into the top eight after beating TS Galaxy.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates leapfrogged Stellenbosch FC in second place – securing CAF Champions League football – meaning they will now face SuperSport United after Matsatsantsa finished in seventh spot.
Stellies, who dropped into third, will meet sixth-placed TS Galaxy, while fourth-placed Sekhukhune United will meet Cape Town City.
