PSL Make Important MTN8 Announcement

The Premier Soccer League have confirmed the dates and venues for the upcoming MTN8 semi-finals.

There had been some uncertainty around the dates, as Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC are taking part in the first preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup, respectively.

Hence the first legs of their MTN8 semi-finals had to shift to midweek fixtures, as confirmed by the PSL on Wednesday. In addition, Stellies’ second-leg home match was moved from Danie Craven Stadium to Moses Mabhida Stadium, as reported by iDiski Times.

“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times for the upcoming MTN8 semi-final fixtures,” the PSL stated.

“Cape Town City will be at home to Orlando Pirates in the first leg of their clash on Tuesday, 27 August 2024 at DHL Stadium, with kick-off at 19h00. The second leg fixture will be held at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 31 August 2024. Kick-off is at 15h00.

“In the other semi-final bracket, Mamelodi Sundowns will face Stellenbosch FC in their first leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, 28 August 2024, with kick-off at 19h00. The return leg is scheduled for Sunday, 01 September 2024 at Moses Mabhida Stadium, kicking off at 15h00.”

Tickets are available at TicketPro outlets nationwide, priced at R80 each.
