SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has commented on new striker Christian Saile who hit the ground running at the club, saying he is different to what they already have.
Saile was influential scoring on debut in SuperSport’s 2-0 win over Magesi FC in the Last 32 round of the Nedbank Cup in Polokwane after his transfer was confirmed on Deadline Day.
The deal saw Tashreeq Morris swap places with the Congolese at Kaizer Chiefs and Hunt revealed that Saile’s registration card only arrived hours before the match, and he couldn’t prepare the player how the coach likes.
The coach further added that in as much as it was sad to see Morris leave, he is glad they have something totally different in Saile.
“Obviously when the whole thing came about, he’s different to what we’ve got and we needed something like that,” said Hunt.
“So, I was obviously sad to see [Tashreeq] Morris go but we got Christian in his place and he’s different, totally different.

“So, I’ll try and use him to his strength, and we’ll see where he goes. We can only show him a few things and try and get him in the right areas and then see where we go from there, but he’s got the right attitude for us.
“I think he’ll fit into our culture. The most important thing is players coming into our culture. You know I don’t want players who are not going to fit into our culture and he’s got our culture – hardworking, honest and diligent and that’s what we want.
