Miguel On How Chiefs Can Beat Pirates

Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel has emphasised on capitalising and killing off the game earlier this time around against Orlando Pirates.

The two Soweto giants square off for the second consecutive match in a space of a week albeit it being in a different competition in the form of the Nedbank Cup.

The Amakhoisi vice-captain has however called on consistency from his peers which has been a problem for them this entire season.

Miguel missed the past weekend’s clash due to lack of match fitness and the 29-year-old has now made a bold statement stating that they intend to kill off their opponent early should the opportunity arises.

“I think the hard work was there, sometimes it’s just, I’ve talked a few weeks ago, the consistency,” Miguel told the media.

“I think it’s we lack a lot of consistent this season, not only game by game, but in exactly the same game. So, I think the most important right now, it’s to be consistent, like we can’t give the chance to the opponent to take no.

“We can do; we can score. If we can kill the game, 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 we have to do it. And I think the biggest difference from the past weekend to the next weekend that we’re gonna kill them. So, if you have another chance, we will kill them. So, if we have 1-0, we’ll make the 2-0 and you keep going.

“And that’s the big difference of the big teams, when they are winning, they don’t expect to run out. Now we pull down. Now we keep going and I think that’s the biggest difference that we have to make the next weekend. “
