It was the Pule Mmodi show at FNB Stadium on Sunday evening as Kaizer Chiefs hammered 10-man Free Agents FC 4-0 to book their spot in the Nedbank Cup last 16.
Chiefs had the earlier chance and struck the upright through Nkosingiphile Ngcobo in the fourth minute.
It was Amakhosi who opened the scoring in the 18th minute through Pule Mmodi from Bruce Bvuma’s assist to make it 1-0.
Mmodi grabbed his brace in the 26th minute after being assisted by Wandile Duba.
The hosts should’ve been three up in the 30th minutes as Happy Mashiane missed an open net with the Agents goalkeeper off his line.
Bvuma on the other hand was forced to make a save in the 33rd minute to deny the visitors a consolation.
Shortly after, in the 62nd minute, Amakhosi made it 3-0 as Inacio Miguel rose high to power a header into the top corner.
Ranga Chivaviro completed the rout by making it 4-0 in the 83rd minute as the Glamour Boys sealed progression in the one-sided affair.
