Stellenbosch FC winger Devin Titus has emphasised that he will bring his own flavour to the game when they take on Polokwane City in the Nedbank Cup on Thursday evening.
The two Betway Premiership teams are playing for a spot in the last eight of the cup.
While they drew their league encounter earlier this season in Polokwane, the last time the two clubs met in Stellenbosch was when Iqraam Rayners scored a record five goals in April last year,
Rayners has since moved on to Mamelodi Sundowns, and when asked about Rayner’s absence this time around, the 23-year-old Bafana Bafana international said he won’t try to replace anyone, but will bring his own “flavour to the game”
“It’s not a matter of stepping into those shoes, you know, I’m not here to step into Ikkie’s shoes or step into anyone else’s shoes,” Titus said ahead of the tie.
“I’m Devin Titus so I’ll bring my own flavour to the game and to the team.
“I’m a player who plays for the team, and if the team does well and I’m like not doing well, that’s fine with me as long as the team does well and we’re winning games and scoring goals.”
