Bafana Bafana star Elias Mokwana scored in the final as Esperance de Tunis clinched their seventh Supercoupe title.
Mokwana is proving to be a great signing for Esperance, as he scored the opening goal in the Supercoupe final against Stade Tunisien on Sunday.
Algeria international Youcef Belaili scored his side’s second, leading the Tunisian giants to their seventh Super Cup triumph in history.
The 24-year-old Mokwana scored in the 59th minute before Belaili netted the second goal to secure the title. The former Sekhukhune United man took his tally to six goals since joining the Tunisian giants.
He also helped the side to secure a place in the CAF Champions League quarter-final after contributing with two goals and an assist in the group stages.
He is standing a chance to clinch the league title as well as they are currently sitting top of the table with 42 points after 19 games, two points ahead of second-placed Etoile du Sahel.
