Davids Wins Key Clash In Morocco

Fadlu David’s Raja Club Athletic won a key battle in the Moroccan Botola Pro, beating log leaders MAS de Fee to move to the summit themselves.

Raja faced Pablo Franco Martin’s surprise side away from home and gained three crucial points in the title race, handing the hosts their first mistake of the season.

Mathias Oyewusi Kehinde scored the opener after 19 minutes, before Ayoub El Aloud made it 2-0 just after half-time in the 53rd minute.

The victory saw Raja climb to 39 points, one above MAS and three above ASFAR, who have a game in hand and could still overtake them on goal difference.

Raja have won five of their last six games, only suffering a defeat to ASFAR, who are yet to lose a game this campaign, a week ago.

It seems the Botola title race will also go down to the wire, with the three mentioned teams set to fight for the trophy, while Wydad Athletic Club remain also in touching distance with 34 points – five behind Raja.

Raja will now face their bitter rivals Wydad on Saturday, in what could be a crucial game in the title race.

Davids and his technical team have experience in lifting the trophy after working under Josef Zinnbauer when he led Raja to an unbeaten Botola and Throne Cup double in 2023/24.
